General Conditions

The WFSBP (World Federation Societies of Biological Psychiatry) has commissioned CPO HANSER SERVICE with the organisation and execution of the conference. Registration for the conference and confirmation there of forms a contract between the conference attendee and the WFSBP regarding attendance at the conference . This contract is based on the following General Terms and Conditions.


Registration and Payment

Please use the enclosed registration form to register for the Congress and all events. Return the form as soon as possible to the Congress Office CPO HANSER SERVICE. Registration will be confirmed if payment is received by the Congress Office by 20th May 2011. Should payment be received after this date, you will receive your confirmation at the Congress Counter in Prague. Please bring a copy of your bank remittance with you.

Presenting authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation must register for the congress and pay the required registration fee immediately after receiving the abstract acceptance. Onsite registration for presenting authors is no possible.

Cancellations of Congress Participation

Notice of cancellation should be sent in writing only to the Congress Office CPO HANSER  SERVICE. In case of cancellation until 10 January 2011 the payment will be refunded, minus a handling charge of 25 %. No refund will be made after 10 January 2011.

Abstract Submission

A maximum of 4 abstracts may be submitted per author.  The acceptance of submitted abstracts simultaneously results in binding registration of the speaker to attend the conference. The registration fee must be paid immediately after receiving the abstract acceptance, otherwise the abstract will be omitted from the scientific programme.  Onsite registration for presenting authors is no possible. 

If the author withdraws a contribution accepted by the scientific committee, registration for the conference will be maintained and there will be no refund of the registration fees.

Changes to the Congress Program

In the event of cancellations by speakers or other changes in the main Congress program, no full or partial refund of the registration fee can be made.

Supporting Program

Sightseeing tours must be paid in advance at the time of registration. Each tour requires a minimum number of participants. If this minimum is not reached, the tour will be cancelled and the full advance payment will be refunded. In the event of cancellation by a participant, no refund will be made. Reservations for the supporting program will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for the sightseeing tours will be issued and are available in Prague.

Loss of Name Badges

The full registration fee must be paid to acquire a new name badge in the event that the name badge, which at the same time entitles the holder to attend the congress, is lost. If the attendee is later able to produce the newly acquired and the previously lost name badge, the registration fee most recently paid will be refunded.

Liability

CPO HANSER SERVICE is liable in keeping with diligence required of a prudent businessman, according to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Regardless of course in law the liability of CPO HANSER SERVICE shall be limited to damages which are caused with aforethought or by gross negligence. However, this shall not affect the liability of the Congress organizer and of the persons or organizations responsible for providing means of transport or other services. The participants take part in all excursions at their own risk. Verbal agreement can only be considered as binding when confirmed by CPO HANSER SERVICE in writing.


Place of Performance, Venue of Jurisdiction

Prague shall be the exclusive place of performance and Hamburg venue of jurisdiction for all parties. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

FORCE MAJEURE

In case of any damage caused by acts or facts beyond the control of Contracting Parties, none of the Parties shall be held liable to the other Party for such damage. Those acts and facts include natural disasters affecting or endangering the leased premises, realized or announced terrorist attacks in the area of the Prague capital during the realization of the Event, and strikes endangering the Event. Strikes endangering the realization of the Event are such strikes where the number of participants exceeds the number of persons taking part in realization of the Event unless their acitivity or services could be replaced.
