Dear Colleagues,

I warmly welcome you to the 18th World Congress of Biological Psychiatry in Jaipur, India, from the 27th to the 30th of August 2026.

After a fascinating World Congress in Berlin — where we explored the impact of AI and social media on mental health, examined emerging pharmacotherapies for psychosis and depression, and discussed new advances in the psychotherapy of personality disorders — we will reconvene in Jaipur, India, for the next World Congress of Biological Psychiatry. This meeting will be held jointly with the 5th Global Congress of Biological Psychiatry.

The meeting will attract top scientists in biological psychiatry with the objective of covering cutting edge advances in the field ranging from biomarkers and precision psychiatry to novel therapeutic discoveries.

In addition, to remain at the forefront of clinical innovation, the congress will also highlight recent advances in treatment of many psychiatric disorders of relevance to clinicians including schizophrenia, mood disorders, dementia, sleep disorders, and postpartum depression. The congress will also delve deeply into the biological mechanisms shaped by current global issues such as climate change, nutrition, terrorism etc. that contribute to heightened vulnerability to mental disorders.

We are expecting over 2.000 delegates to attend this Congress, and we very much look forward to welcoming you to Jaipur. The Congress city Jaipur is a part of the famous golden triangle with world renowned sightseeing opportunities including the famous “Hawa Mahal”, “Jantar Mantar”, “Amber Fort” to name a few with Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world within short distance away.

I cordially invite you to participate in this vibrant World Congress 2026 in India, enjoy science and good possibilities to network around the world.

Best wishes

Peter Falkai
