Visa Requirements for India
All visitors to India require a valid visa, except citizens of neighbouring Nepal and Bhutan. The Indian government offers a 60-day, double-entry electronic visa (e-Visa) for citizens of 161 countries.

E-Conference Visa
To attend a conference/seminar/workshop organized by a ministry or department of the government of India, state governments or UT administrations and their subordinate/ attached organizations and PSUS and private conferences organized by private persons/companies/organizations.

Duration: Thirty days (30 days) from the date of arrival into India.

Step-by-Step Application Process
- Apply Online:
- Visit the official e-Visa portal or an authorized third-party website.
- Choose the “E-Conference Visa” option.
- Complete the Application Form:
- Provide personal information, passport details, and conference details.
- Upload Required Documents:
- Recent Photograph: A colored photo (2 inches’ x 2 inches), less than 1MB.
- Passport Copy: The page containing personal particulars.
- Invitation Letter: From the conference organizer.
- NOC from Ministries: Political clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and event clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), both provided by the conference secretariat Neumech events.
- Pay the Visa Fee:
- Pay the visa fee online through the portal.
- Submission:
- Submit the completed application.
